2012
In 2012, there are several aspects of my mindset that desperately need to be altered.
One of them is my tendency to always focus too much on where I wish my life to end -sacrificing present happiness for indefinite future success.
As one of this year’s many resolutions, I wish to emphasize deep into my mind and soul that my life should be focused on the journey, not the end of the map.
After reading British philosopher Alan Watts’ narration about life & music, I have also come to realize that my goal as a human being should be to expand the width (not length) of my life’s interval, making each second worthwhile and rich with substance.
Nothing is certain and nothing in the future is ever under our control -the only thing that is certain is the present. So why should I worry too much about what’s so indefinite and perhaps even predisposed?

Through this, I hope I can become closer to the person I wish to be…And to be a happier one as well :-)
